<div class="IPBDescription">Suggestions for the commander view</div>i was thinking that maybe the commander needs to be able to click on players on the scoreboard to select them so he doesnt have to searcht he level for them, and perhaps have a way to make waypoints for the entire team at once. Also in many rts games you can select units and bind them to a key, this would be good in NS. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

Also maybe have some piece of equipment that the marines start out with, that sends their status (health, ammo) to the command center-> if it breaks, then goodbye communication to command. (Maybe disable them being able to chat with the leader in that respect?)
There must be an easier way to select multiple soldiers and assign to a key or something. This way you can make groups. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::asrifle::'><!--endemo--> and kickass <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Flayra just wanted some basic things working for release instead of pushing the release date back to add them.
I also know that talk of adding a feature that when you right click somewhere and have no one selected, it issues the command to everyone.
Be patient, probably a V2 addition.

I made a thread in the wrong area so I'll just post my idea here.
Marines checking on the commander, is he negligent or just busy?
Perhaps what would help this situation would be to introduce a new variable that would simply state in text what the commander is doing. Like:
The commander made a resource tower.
The commander supplied health.
The commander recycled an armory.
You might even be able to see where he was doing these things. I'm sure the dev team could implement this in a way that wouldn't appear too spammy; perhaps like those messages you get when you see a structure and get a hint describing what it is. And maybe only send one message if the commander makes several of the same thing like ammo and health. If marines could see this they might not be so quick to eject commanders and more apt to try and find out were the activity is.
I remember times I felt neglected because I wasn't given a waypoint and just wanted to know what was going on and then I turn the corner and theres a huge outpost that I could have helped with if I had known what was going on. Something like this could really improve teamwork.
It makes it near impossible to accuratly drop/build.

Very good idea. That would help a lot, i mean the man is spending your resources, you deserve to see where they are going...
That way it's a simple matter of pressing the number key to select a unit. Seems straightforward to me, and I can't think of any problem that would arise.
