The glass system is much better than HL1 (obviously). The first shot shatters the window, and all further shots blow out pieces. So if you have a big sheet hanging from the top, shooting the place where it connects will knock that entire sheet off. Oh, and once you've shot it once, you can run straight through it and take most of it out. Nice reflections on the windows too.

Soldier of Fortune 2 had the same glass effects, why the hell are people so freaked out by this? Actually I think SOF2's was better, it didn't break at right angles like this glass seems to. Also, you could jump through SOF2 glass and take some damage, or even blow it up with a grenade and turn it into shrapnel.

A nice way to start the map.

:edit: now they work...

With a P90, you're lucky you got the case open.

Just about any gun can blow the thing to smithereens. I'm rather surprised that more parts didn't come off; every time I fired at one, at least three components flew through the air (every component in the case - mobo, CPU/heatsink, video card, sound card, optical drive, two HDDs, and power supply - is fully modeled and can be shot out of the case).
But Soldier of Fortune didn't have multitude upon legions of players who think they can hack because they play Counterstrike and act like they know how guns work because they play Counterstrike. Popularity always trumps everything else.
I'm severely disappointed. Prettier graphics, same darn old gameplay. Physics is just a gimmick.
Back to Sim 2.
If not, <a href='http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-127&depa=1' target='_blank'>MSI Radeon 9800</a> here I come!

Dude, have you not read what VALVe said? This isn't CS:2. This is a port. If you didn't like CS... you won't like CS:S any better.

Great choice, it comes with the R360 core and Hynix ram so you can softmod to an XT if you want
