<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->It's not life changing, but it's a piece of the low poly scene. I chose the armory for my first model because it was relatively simple and I haven't seen a decent low poly version. I'm calling it v1 because it's my first model, and I imagine I'll find something I don't like about it later.

The armory has 63% fewer polys, and maintains the shape and functionality of the original.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

And now, what you're here for - the screenshots:

I like it - it retains the details well for such a polycount reduction. GJ.

:O wasn't looking for anything low poly, but this will certainly help my fps problems <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Good job. Thanks for working for those of us... err... YOU that cannot handle too many polys in HL <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

This is really good! I may just replace my default Armoury with this one. (I have a fast enough computer, but I like this one a lot) <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Glad to do it. And I tested the model on many of my lower end systems. I saw some frame rate increases so I love this thing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Now if someone could do a low poly pack for those of us with older computers.

Deathknight, I appreciate your optimism, but if you saw appreciable framerate increases from a 272 poly decrease, then your computer really needs some help <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

There have been a lot of low poly models released, but it's a lot of work for one person or team to have a unified pack. Here's the low poly stuff that I use:

Ollj's low poly <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31153' target='_blank'>pack</a> - Alien offense and defense chambers, skulk, hive, gestate, some projectiles, and sentry, turret factory, and health pack. Each model is around a 50% decrease in polys, and stay true to the originals.

    Dr Fuzzy's Doom <a href='http://drfuzzy.nsarmslab.com/ns/models/doompistol/' target='_blank'>pistol</a> and <a href='http://drfuzzy.nsarmslab.com/ns/models/doomshotty/' target='_blank'>shotgun</a> - really low (~50) poly v_models

    Maus' 31 poly <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35391' target='_blank'>lmg</a> - a 31 poly lmg v_ model

Arson's low poly <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37416' target='_blank'>turret</a> pack - ~60% reduction in polycount, and they don't look that bad. I prefer Arson's low poly turret and factory to Ollj's. Just a personal preference.

The Real Quasar's <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32190' target='_blank'>phasegate</a> - ~50% reduction in polycount, but he missed a few polys I'm sure he meant to delete, and there are other ways of rearranging the polys for even more reduction. I plan on doing this at some point in the future. [EDIT] I did this in my low poly marine structure pack[/EDIT]

Grizzly's <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76633' target='_blank'>world</a> models - the peewees are already low poly, but hey, why not?

    Million's <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75753' target='_blank'>gorge</a> - Laughably poorly skinned, but it's certainly low poly

There have also been a few "lego" packs released for the marine structures, but they're all horrible IMHO.
