Umbra, decent to good fades, a stomp spam onos (not a retarded run in and die to 5 HMGs onos), and a gaggle of skulks. Take 3 out of 4 of those and you'll probably win. Umbra + skulks = ridiculous damage. All of this assumes at least two hives, you're pretty much done for at one hive. Aliens pretty much require a second hive to counter any marine tech.

Their armor wears out pretty fast because of the repeated gores and watching your armor go down in 5 seconds flat is pretty scary so the rine will PROBABLY panic. You can devour a lone HA if you can't quite gore them to death and ure running low on armor or health... Plus as a bonus, because the HA took damage from the gores, it'll take less time to fully digest them. Thus you can digest someone else earlier than normal. I really don't gor HA's a lot unless im already digesting one so the above senario doesn't happen to me often. Still, goreing a HA is posssibl...

Umm, you can't base any game plan on the opposition sucking. Experienced marines won't panic. Any marine knows that gore is less dangerous than devour when we're not talking about structures. 6 gores, or insta death? I think the choice is clear. And goring the marines before devouring won't lower the digestion time by much because the ARMOR took 95% of the damage. Besides, it's plain stupid to gore and THEN devour. If you're going to devour, just devour and then run away.

If you think gore is a good answer to HA, you're 100% wrong. If you're goring HA, they're probably going to kill you. Stomp and let your teammates do the damage, then run like hell before you get nubbed by HMGs. The only time you should gore is against a solo HA and if you've already devoured one. If you seriously think you can just gore a HA 5+ times and not die, you have played new and inexperienced players. Let the fades + skulks do the damage, onos die in <5 seconds to multiple HMGs.

you could probably kill a solo HA with anything, please use a bit of common sense when posting. This thread is obviously about an entire team of HA, not just one by himself.
Actually best way to HA-counter is tho use their mentality against them. HA train proceeding hive dont see anything else than hive. Just eat their minibases/rts/pgs everywhere else in the map while few guys struggles with the ha-train. It`s not so bad if the hive goes down due the fact that even 1 skulk can eat all rts in time that hive goes down even with bit of resiliance
The most nub display I've ever seen against HAs was one game on caged.
Me and another HA held out at a hive(the aliens had 2) in a 8v8 for 10 entire minutes, while the comm refused to drop a pg and the HAs in base refused to walk over. In the end, we made a tactical retreat and finally got some backup and took down that hive.
over the course of that 10 minutes, we killed 3 onos, 2 fades, a couple of lerks, and somewherearound 30 skulks each.

Ha counter: teamwork and constant pressure.
Ha is expensive so make shure you some skulks are chewing their rt while you hold em off.
Oh and if you can catch the train early any door is you friend.

it was an insanely tense 10 minutes.
either that or the alien team was unskillful beyond belief.
