Netmaxrate And Maxrate Conflict?

Hi,

I would like to know exactly what networkmeterate does. Especially when sv_maxrate would seem to conflict with that cvar. Please verify networkmeterate is bytes and not bits.

    Just thought I would update this post for any admins out there. Im running Linux , dual mp2000+ procs and 1.5gigs ddr ram. It didnt matter if I ran a 16player , 24player or currently 32player server. CPU is 90% of 1 proc. Now, at 32 players running networkmeterrate 5000 did I finally start bringing that down(along with the lag complaints). Know its around 70%. Next restart, I will lower that again to 2500 and see how much lower the cpu usage goes. I can say when set to 0 people cant move around <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I dont see this setting being set to 100000 personally.

    it doesnt matter if you have 8way hammers half-life will only use 1 cpu

    I'd still tell everyone i was running an 8 way hammer just to brag. I would like to know the answer to the original question...please.
