"Scientists gingerly tap into brain's power". "<b>Gingerly</b>"? What the hell? I demand these scientists be reckless. I <b>demand</b> that they accidently activate terrifying and unfathomable psychic powers in at least one test patient.

    Edit:

And scarily enough, in GITS:SAC, there was a whole institute of special children that could hack stuff insanely using their brains.

About time. The brain's an I\O device just <i>begging</i> for drivers. And no, I'm not being metaphorical.

'Course, they'd better get the security part right from the ground up, otherwise you end up with Ghost in the Shell type brain hacking. "Read only" would be a good start.

Eh, the device intreprets brain patterns, it doesn't alter them. Besides, the GITS brains were electronic manifests of the organic brain, and given how vulnerable they were, probably manufactured by <i>Microsoft</i>.

OMG...right after these get implemented into society, one of the following will happen:

I've heard about a british scientist who go a chip installed into his arm that attaches to some important nerve. Anyway, he already has systems that recognize him when he tells them to through this thing. What he wants to do is be able to record and playback all the sensations of drinking a glass of wine. Last I heard he was getting one installed into his wife... for "communication" purposes.

load of crock? probably, but the guy who told me about it said he read it from a reputable magazine.
