Some Bugs

You can walk <i>into</i> a turretfactory, so the turrets can't shoot at you, and you can still destroy it.

The hitboxes of a marine who is crouching is f00ked up, there was this marine walking throu a really small vent and we just couldnt kill him with anything... either the hitboxes were to far up or below the ground... dunno.

Sometimes when you try to build things as a commander is just goes back to the 'main build menu' when you try to click on anything, so you gotta get out and in again for it to go away...

Well there are some more but I think you've already reported them.

    About the "going inside turret factory".
    That's not really the case, if you can go into a turret factory so can bullets.
    The thing is most likely you are using the turret factory as shield from the turrets, I do this all the time, it will appear for you as you're inside but really you're just "behind" it.

    Most likely has to do with the image that is overlayed on top of the hulls of that building type. They mentioned that they only have certain sized hulls to work with and the image they chose for the fac is bigger than the hull... it may appear as if your inside of it... Your just inside the image... the hull is most likely what takes damage... your just hiding behind it...

    I cannot reproduce these bugs, but here you go.

    Observed:
    There was a fade that would not uncloak. He was running around the marine base slashing in a cloaked state. I later saw him as a Skulk and he was back to normal. Not sure what caused it though. The player claimed he did not know how it happened.

    Unsure:
    Perhaps just coincidence, but I have had this happened twice. I was stuck as an Onus after a redemption, so I evolved to a skulk. When the evolve was done, I was quickly shifted along the wall about 5 feet and then the server crashed. Out of the 20 or so times I've been redemption stuck, this has only happened twice.

    Unobserved:
    I did not observe this, but a friend of mine was playing on a 1.01 server as an alien. Someone asked if anyone was up for an exploit. Shortly after the aliens had about 1000 resource points.

    I'm also pretty sure the marine turret's bounding box is not as big as the turret itself. (its shorter). Which means you can stand inside the top of it, and unfortunately (the real problem) shoot though the top of it as if it wasnt there. Because half-life won't bother checking hitboxes for a hit (which are correct in this case) if the bullet would miss the bounding box...

    Same with many things though... like alien resource nodes and just about every building. I don't know if it can be fixed, but right now 90% of buildings allow you to creep inside them, but at the same time, all the areas you can 'creep inside' are unshootable.

    Perhaps this is to allow aliens to squirm inbetween their own buildings and stuff... but it does have the negative effect of a tiny hittable area because it seems that in half-life, hittable area corresponds to solid, nonmovable area... so you can shoot through like 60% of the offensive towers, the bullets pass right through, and only a tiny square in the core is really solid (probably the same, bounding box == tiny)

    HL uses the bounding box to 'early out' traces...

    It doesn't matter if the turret factory is surrounded by turrets, you can still go <i>inside</i> the factory, and bash it from the inside.

    yes there is definitly a problem with people not being unclocked while running around and killing people. I've seen it more than once too, is it a cheat?<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The "stuck in cloaking" has happened to me. It was hilarious. I was a Fade and ran around HA marines and slashing them to pieces without them seeing what hit them. They run around in circles in despare and shoot in the air.

    It has only happened once to me and i think it happens when you are cloaked the very moment you loose all your Sensory Chambers. At least, this heppened to me when we lost our second Hive with thr sensory chambers.
