Should there be an auto commander in reg
I think that there should be an AutoCommander in NS games, where the Comm could allocate some res for the AutoCommander and the AC will give it to the rines that request it if they are standing still for a couple of seconds. (why standing still for a couple of seconds, so that when rines are in a fight with an alien the AC wont be able to resuply the rine so as to make it more fair for the alien). Do youi think this is a good idea??

Personally I'm for making it harder for the individual marine and easier for the commander, so I'm for this.

I'm against. As of now, marines as a whole need to get toned down- commanding is too easy, same with everything else marine side.
id say i make my commandings tough, i invent the "strats" as my team moves somwhere and hardly ever listen to voicecomm requests. but that was unnecessary off-topic.
And if you are, stop playing combat.
Right, but shouldn't the hard part be carrying out the strategy(and hoping the marines carry out their orders as well) rather than spamming meds and ammo?

OMG COMMANDO IS TURRETFARMOR BAHN BAHN......wait he's a bot, crap.
One important skill for commanders is to lean how to spam support packs effectively :]
Anyway, the commander is the main thing that differs ns_ from co_, so adding autocommander and making ns_ more combat-like as it is would make so many people cry :-/ (including myself).
heres a tip for u all: pressing the spacebar will take you to the last ammo/med request.

The only reason commanding is easy is because the Marine team is so powerful on it's own. A single marine that can aim can take on multiple skulks with ease, leading to less micromanagement needed by the commander.
The situation has improved slightly in the latest beta, but its still stupidly easy for a halfway skilled marine team to sweep out with little to no resistance. The early game is pretty much 100% marines, untill the fades show up.
Im AGAINST the idea of having this feature placed in the main game online in proper games.
First of all, how would you allocate res?
Would it be a percent of all the res you have, or would the commander have to manually allocate res?
Second, would you be able to get res you allocated back?
Third, how would it distinguish from some newb with 90 life, and a pro with 15 life and no ammo?
Fourth, this could be abused so easily. Someone could just keep on calling for more ammo and more health over and over, costing the marines lots of res, or making it so there is no res in the autocommander pool for anyone to get ammo and health.
This is what it would work like, except you don't physically put medpacks and ammo packs into some building, you just allocate say 10 res per push of a button.
Only get them when requested, and not immediately even then, in case some duder binds it to an easy to reach key so he can spam it while fighting teh skulx
Because being automedspammed while in battle would make things kinda s****y for aliens.
unless your that unco-ordinated you keep dropping the med on the other side of the room theres should be no need for an autocomm.
besides that res early in the game goes along way, you cant afford to just slice off a chunk of it to give for automated med/ammo requests (and i gaurentee it will evaporate quickly given the amount of people who call for meds everytime they lose 2hp). that res could be another upgrade or alot sooner to upgrading the armoury.
