Converting NS Server to voice_speex
I am trying to convert the voice codec on a NS Linux Server to speex, but the old tutorial is outdated and the links are down. If anyone could help me do this, it would be appreciated.

sv_voicecodec voice_speex
sv_voicequality 1 to 5
1 lowest quality/bandwidth usage
5 highest quality/bandwidth usage.

I suggest around 2.

I was under the impression that the codec was not already installed on the server, and I would have to download something. Was I wrong?

Oh, and I assume this is in the server.cfg file. Just add those lines. Right?

Yep. Just add those to your config file and if you want to make sure you have the codec, check for a voice_speex file in your hlds folder.. It should come with it and I see no reason why you wouldn't have one..

Also, a more indepth explaination of speex can be found here
