<div class="IPBDescription">Voice comm, sprites, MDLs, etc.</div> First, voice comm works perfectly without the -wavonly switch, but the sounds don't fully mix (i.e. too many sounds at once causes the background sounds to stop playing) and FPS suffers. Upon enabling the -wavonly command line switch when I start Half-Life, the sound is smooth and perfect with no noticable FPS hit. However, I lose all ability to use the voice comm. Is there a way to force Half-Life to use Wave sound, while leaving the voice comm alone as Direct Sound?
Also, the sprites are really blurry making chat text difficult to read. However, the raster fonts that the TAB scoreboard uses are perfectly readable and crisp because they do not use bitmap fonts. In every game but Natural-Selection, the chat text also uses the crisp raster fonts. In NS, though, the chat text is blurry and barely legible. How do I reconfig NS to use raster fonts?
In the following screenshot, notice the illegibility of the chat text at the top of the screen as opposed to the clear raster fonts at the bottom.

Finally, a significant FPS drop from 72 (normal) to 30-40 occurs when drawing multiple animated models (MDLs such as players, in game objects, weapons, ammo, etc.) as opposed to just rendering the surrounding BSP level. This does not occur in the Windows version. How do I tweak it so that this FPS drop does not occur?
