    But I would imagine most skinners would use Photoshop.
    Or the freeware program Gimp.

    Yeah he's our handy dandy super admin, but he's good fun to play around with. The other admins changed his title to "Studly McStud" or something like that. And one of the forum mods has an avatar with Nem0's avatar on it and I R Stud written on the bottom.

    Photoshop is the most used app, although it's not free. Use the GIMP if you want a good free alternative.

    Elements is the cheapo one, Photoshop CS is just Photoshop 8. I guess Adobe noticed that version numbers are so passe, so they decided to jump on the "OMG RANDOM TWO LETTER NAMES R 1337" bandwagon. Photoshop CS, Windows XP, Flash MX, Visual Studio .NET (okay more than 2 letters), etc, etc... I wonder if any of these actually <i>mean</i> anything.

    I just know that the XP in WinXP stands for "Experience". Don't know anything about the others though.

    And, to stay on topic, i recommend Photoshop 7 over Photoshop 8 (aka CS).
    PS8 is alot slower then PS7 and has just few new functions like the filter browser (which appears to be the biggest change).

    I won't hand out so much money for a *new* version that is actually just a 7.1
