Would You Even Play Ns?

<div class="IPBDescription">If it was how the community wanted it...</div> Let's pretend for a moment that we live in a world where every thing the community suggests gets implented. Would you even enjoy the game if your ideas were in it? After reading many balance whines, suggestions, rants, and demands here is how I imagine Natural-Selection would be in the communities world:

Siege turrets do less damage and only hurt things they can see. Meaning they'll essentially be useless because anywhere worth building them will put you in the line of fire of offense chambers, making it nearly impossible to get to get them up.

Defense chambers don't heal aliens. Meaning, the only way you can heal is if you happen to have a gorge around, if it's late in the game and there are no gorge's then you're screwed, even though the marines can simply request health at any given time.

Limit on # of Onos. Great motivation to get the third hive up if you can't even evolve into the alien you get out of it, not to mention...

Fade's bilebomb removed. Even more motivation to go for that third hive!

Place's to buy weapons. This idea limits the commander even more, not to mention people will be even less likely to listen to him if they simply walk up and buy their weapons from a machine.

Lots of new weapons. As if there aren't enough people whining about balance issues with the current arsenal! Like there aren't enough weapon mods as it is.

Grenade launcher would be weaker, I mean they are just grenades after all.
grenade launcher would be stronger, the game cannot be balanced unless it's both stronger and weaker at the same time.

Skulks would be more powerful, after all the marines really shouldn't stand a chance.

Lerks shouldn't be able to use umbra, making them skulks with wings.

Despite the fact that it completely goes against the theme of the game, and would completely be in a trainwreck of a map for aliens, there should be outdoor maps.

Aliens have a commander as well. Maybe then we can call this War Craft: Natural Selection, since both teams should apparently be EXACTLY THE SAME.

Secondary fire including a zoom feature. Even though strategy is the whole purpose of this mod, they should try to make it as much like every single other FPS because....well.....because we said so!

Sniper rifles. Why? Sure they'd be completely useless, but doesn't every game need one now?

So basically, this is the communities Natural-Selection, a game with no turrets/useless turrets, secondary fires and guns w/zooms, a useless commander who plants things you can buy weapons from, really weak aliens have completely useless attacks and there is no reason to get the third hive because only one or two people can be Onos, other than gorge aliens are incapable of healing. Wow, all we need now is someone asking for a skulk with a skimask and a defusal scenario and I think the NS community will have their ideal game.

Who said everyone in the community wanted all or any of that? You're making a vast generalization that misrepresents the community. Sure people can make a suggestion/whine/b**** about different parts of the game, but we are playing natural selection because we like it and making suggestions because we want to see it improved not changed into some other game. The people that didnt like the game when they first installed it never came back, and hopefully arent posting on this forum. If you dont like the game to back to CS/TFC/Barbies Playhouse or whatever game u were playing before.

Why not make the aliens able to hold marine weapons? The skluk can hold it in his mouth and pull the trigger with his tongue.

    What does it say?

    You guessed it!

    C4!!
