Ut Map Conversion - Deck16][

any ways, my PC is now back, My mouse died, so bought a new one, and FINALLY decided to get to work and finish the map, its now almost complete, just need to go round and check the textures, and do the lighting... sooo..
Ill need some people for a closed beta test.. Please remember when testing this is a conversion of a UT(99) map and may need some additions/changes to make it more NS Friendly (like vents etc) -- this is intended as a Fun "custom" map not as a serious game
its a COMBAT map so only play if you like combat <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> - i estimate the end of the week for map completion (thats the 30th APPROX)

I Forgot to mention, I'd rather have people who have played this map in UT before so they know the map to give poinions, point out faults etc.. and ideas..

Im Aiming for 2 tests, the first as an initial test, and the second AFTER fixing bugs and reoslving issues the first test shows up.. the first one will (hopefully) be on the 29th and the second, on the 31'st.. ill announce the times as-soon as i work out when i am available <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

At a guess the Marines will have a very easy time of this, I'd recommend putting the Hive in a more enclosed place of the map with closer corridors, where it is now just means that whenever the Aliens step out from the Hive they'll be 0wned. Maybe you wanna wait 'til playtesting to find that out but I've got a pretty strong feeling that's what'll happen.
I think a better map for a Unreal > NS Combat conversion would be the one with the giant heal pod in the middle. (trigger_hurt doing negative damage anyone?). Someone needs to get on it before I do.
EDIT: Yes 'random' spawning locations would balance it out a bit, apart from the fact that Aliens respawn as skulks now and that Marines might run out of ammo before they get to the Armoury, so resupply is an absolute must.

this is a remake of the ORIGINAL unreal tournament level deck16][, and in the deck16][ map thats acid not lava. most of the ut maps that were remade for ut2k4 look better, but me personally as an old gamer i like the original better.

i imagine it wont be too hard to do seal off the hive and CC and then just put random spawn points everywhere and make it a combat map

Oh and the CC is where the Flak cannon always is, not the biorifle.
Thismap really is gonna need vents for tehaliens to have a chance.
im pretty sure its called deck16 ]|[, ill fire up ut 2k4 soon and see. and the original deck16 was in unreal as a deathmatch map.

to make it more "NS" Friendly (ok, its a co map but still...) I added a new room for the hive, it sitll looks and feels like deck 16...
