A very good first model. One thing you should think about is the width of the gun, it is very thin at the moment.

Also i know smoothing is an avoided subject in milkshape, but I think the gun would look a lot better with some smoothing.

i like it just never smoothshade your guns post a flat shade. MUCH better than my first model, excelent work for start.

*EDIT* now that i read his post that is conficlting what i mean is dont just post it smoothshaded if your not gonna "smooth" it, i didnt know if he knew about that.

*EDIT* *2* can you tell us polycount? that would be good.

Polly count... hermmm it has 863 triangles which i think is same as polly count?
i belive the reason for this is A. nublar modeler B. used box's and didnt remove unvieable faces (cuz its fidly and anoying <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

I'mn ot sure what u mean by smoothing. I can display as smoothed of flat shaded but u said smooth it and i dunno what ur on about lol.
do u mean to make it less boxy??

IMO dont even bother posting a smoothshaded model pic if u haven't properly smoothed it.

to answer your question on what smoothing is... <a href='http://curv.net/dlcss/deadlok/smoothing/' target='_blank'>http://curv.net/dlcss/deadlok/smoothing/</a>

To find out the poly count in Milkshape open your model, ctr+a to select all then under tools select SelPolycount

    Me likes a lot.

You're right about the sniper rifle thing, you can try shortening the front a bit, but either way, looks awesome.

Unfortunately, since it's such a long gun, it'll look like it's stretching out a few meters in HL, which is probably why I won't be using it.

    v. nice model though.
