Team Tactics From The Beginning

at the start of the round all players except 2 should rush the marines and keep rushing. The rushing Khara can cripple the marines at the start a lot of the time. The rushers should also try taking different routes to box in all the marines and protect the builders.

The 2 that don't rush should go to the other 2 hives (as skulks because it's a lot faster and you won't get killed). when they get to their hives they should each build a resource tower first(you can get the hive a lot faster that way), then hide in some corner and save up for hive, as soon as you get the hive start fortifying the place.

The rushers keep throwing your bodies at the marines even if you aren't having much luck just make sure the marines don't get too far from base.

By the time the rushers have died a few times they should have enough resources to evolve to gorge and build a structure don't let everybody do this at the same time only 1 at a time. After you build a resource tower or offense or defense, whatever you need, evolve back to a skulk and continue the attack. Everybody on the team should try to do this when they get lots of resources.

Reasoning:
Hives: The most important thing to the aliens are the hives and having at least 3 of every tower type.
Rushing: at the beginning of the game a skulk will usually murder any marine without a bigger weapon
so if they can't get resources they can't get the weapons fast enough to defend against you.


Other tactics.
Gorges: When you know they have siege turrets going, set down a tower and back away really quick, wait 6
seconds so you know it's safe to build.

Later in the game when you have lots of resources and defense towers nearby you can just start tossing out other towers they will build themselfs(by the time you have the 6th one set the 1st should be done. if you haven't been a gorge at all that game you should try this you will have lots of resource points stockpiled.

if you have enough def towers in an area it could take more than 3 siege turrets to kill anything so pile those up on the front lines.



One of the Funnest tactics in the game:

Become a fade or onos, get regeneration, cloaking, and adrenalin. go near the marine base, cloak in a corner near the exit and wait for a marine to come out. wait for the doors to close, run up behind the unsuspecting snack and MURDER HIM!!!

    hehe nice what most ppl already know, but ill post anyway.
    if u want te upgrades its better to go around without ANY upgrade at first.
    if u get hurt u can heal ureself in 2 secs by just upgrading. u can do this 3
    times which makes onos just that much more powerfull: mwhahaha moaning

    Theres a problem with this tactic if your playing against marines who arn't complete dead eyes.

    THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT SUICIDAL SKULKS.

    They'll build a resource node.
    See the skulk coming and kill them.
    Put up towers. Proceed to the next resource node.
    See the skulks coming and kill them.
    Put up towers.
    Move to a hive and kill your workers.
    Kill the suicidal skulks again.
    Build Turrets at your hive.
    ad nausea

    Game Over.

    While keeping the marines contained in their base IS a good thing, its not realistically going to happen with only 1/2 of your force attacking and ALL of their force working to expand/defend. I mean it'll work if you have a skulk that can reliably take on their whole team, but who makes tactics that only work against newbs?

    That is why we who understand this try to stress FEW builders.. as in ONE. And the rest of the team go seek and destroy.

    actualy 1 genocider in the hiveborn can cuase enough havok for a short time to distract the humans to allow us to have our meal.

    Actually, you are wrong. Its bad to lose one hive but not a dissaster. Losing one hive is actually something that keeps the balance in check for the marines. In early mid to mid-mid game, 2 fades and a lerk using umbra and preferrable one gorge using webs and turrets (lerk and the gorge try to stay sheltered) can go and retake that 3rd hive with a little bit of teamwork. Of course that is not guaranteed but that is why this game is so fun.

    BTW, the marines are always using mic and working together, its about time that the Aliens do the same.
