Halloween Crisis!

Or, partay tyme.
Well, it's halloween, and I'm going to a party in about an hour. We're going to watch a horror movie. The thing is,none of us are real horror movie aficionados(sp?), and we haven't the slightest as to what to rent.
So, I call upon you, Forumites. Recommend goodly movies unto me.
All that Zombie Panic has put me in the mood for something zombie-ish, so I'm leaning towards either the Evil Dead where Ash says "THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK."(Haven't seen any of them), or one of the Night of the Livin Dead(havent seen any o them)movies. If I get a zombie movie, I expect lots and lots of zombie bustin action.
Feel free to recommend anything, though.

Edit: And some other ones I was thinking of is Final Destination one and two. *if it comes down to one, get the second*
I also liked "They" and "Darkness Falls" which I lost sleep over.
And get Army of Darkness. It's not horry, more like Dark-Comedy. Still great.
I could see how this movie was scary in its time, but now, its just.... bleh.
Watched that one this morning, and it was the most hillarious and insane movie I've ever seen! And it's called 'army of darkness' afaik. (*edit* note to self: read other posts before posting.)
Havn't seen any of the other evil dead movies before, but I sure am going to see them now.
Dawn of the Dead [1978]
Day of the Dead [1985]
The Exorcist
John Carpenter's "The Thing"
Event Horizon
Romero's "Dead" series doesn't have masses of zombie killing action, though there's some, it's more of the zombies getting the few remaining survivors. If you want zombie's dying by the second[And comedy], get Braindead[AKA Dead-Alive]. "The Thing" is awesome, great effects, thought not neccesarily scary.
Get a zombie flick, or ...
... just make sure you dont get house of a thousand corpses.
i recommened you rent "the thing" if you havent seen it great movie
The Thing
Below (submarine horror movie, actually pretty good)

Dawn of the Dead < adventure movie with hardly any action. If you thought 28 days was slow, this wont be much better.
The Ring < horse jumps off boat! omg! (stupid)
edit: forget horror, grab shaun of the dead or tree rape.
