hm, they're even somewhere in the US? what, in more rural areas? bah, I wish they existed in the NYC vacinity - I'm so bad at budgeting my milk. I buy a gallon, half of it goes bad. I buy a half-gallon, I always run out. delivery is teh key!

If Seattle "Hub of Technology, Home of Microsoft, Nintendo of America, Bungie, and Valve" Washington is your idea of a rural area, then yes. Milk trucks putter around rural areas.

I paid for milk from my pocket money (Don't Laugh)

Sadly, i stopped getting it from the milkman because little 12yo kids nick the milk from my doorstep in the morning.

They go pretty damn fast without all the milk on the back of them. Is it only all that milk that makes them go at 3mph ??

I thought all the milkmen were exiled during The Exodus, after the Great War, in which the Man Borden crowned himself King of Milkmen, and they fought savagely with "Sunny D." who is sometimes called Orange Patron or even simply known as "D." during his years as a freelancer, before the Three Enligtenments.

Beware all of you, insanity is what comes to you in the dark of night, grippng you in its icy-hot pain removing claws after reading too much of "The Dark Tower Series" by Stephen King-Sai. Go, go forth and gain that beautiful nectarine flavor.

I wish we had milk men here in Oklahoma. That would pwn. Cause then I could get like, 1 bottle of milk a week... which is just enough..

I hate buying half a gallon and only using half of it before it goes bad...

    You should drink maybe a third to a half liter a day <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I get milk from the milkman! And also bottles of apple juice! Nothing better than a pint bottle of milk. Or apple juice.

Used to do bread and stuff too, don't think mine does anymore. Ah nostalgia of milkfloats.

    my topic isn't stupid *sniff*

I'm just trying to learn about different cultures!

do you have to be home when the milk is delivered? I'm sure it'd go bad if it were delivered while you were at work or school or summat...

It usually gets delivered before you go to work, at like 5/6am.

Our milkmen are, almost exclusively, tamed vampires. They get paid in stray animals, which they can safely drain of blood. Giving them cats would be like giving a human valuable currency.

Whereas the UK's zombie population is set to work in the Royal Mail, along with monkeys and animated lumps of stone.

Milk doesn't actually go off as fast as you yanks seem to think. A bottle will last a few days or so, at least. And if we get one a morning, then theres always unopened bottles at the back of the fridge.

Having said that, we don't get one a morning any more, coz we never used to drink it all and then it WOULD go off before we even opened the bottles at the back <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Incidentally, to those of you who know of Father Ted, the milk-float-bomb episode was on last night <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I could drink a (1L) bottle in two days, but I usually do so in 3 days. But with my family, we easily go above a liter a day.
