Particle System

I've seen a few posts where mappers are trying to edit their particle systems in-game. I just wanted to point out that I've been experimenting with it and no matter what I try, when I use 'listps' in console the user-created particle systems never show. It's like the env_particles_custom was never compiled into the map.

And I'm sure if these mappers typed 'listps' into their consoles they too would not see their particle system listed.

You have to give the PS a name to get it to appear on the list.

It was given a name, I tried a couple different ones.

Works for me. Make sure of 3 things: 1) You are running your own game (or in SP mode), 2) sv_cheats is set to 1 (don't know if this makes a difference or not), and 3) you have actually joined a team first.

Nevermind. I was saving to a new .rmf and compiling an old .map.

That's embarrasing.
