OH NOES LUCAS HAS RUINED MY CHILDHOOD WITH A 2 SECOND CLIP WHATEVER SHALL I DO.

If 2 seconds of Naboo celebrating gets you furious, I think you need to see one of the nice men in the white coats who take you to the padded room. Because, like, that's pretty weird.

Ruined my childhood, no, but trashing Naboo isn't just Gungan hate. It makes more dramatic sense. Leaving it alone is STUPID.

Furthermore, it looks like the Special Edition DVDs completely screw up lightsabers. That IS ruining my childhood.

Yeah, if that's true (the sabre thing, from the pics in an earlier link), it is pretty bad. The jedi/sith stop fighting with lightsabres and started using lightpastels.

The lightsabers aren't white in the middle if anyone wonders... It's not that visible on light-side sabers (green/blue) but Vader's saber is pinkish red from time to time.

edit: from time to time. This is a glitch and not done on purpose.

Well, in that case they're still full of crap for having shite quality control.

Yes, absolutely. The one that got me was one of the model makers (dont' know if he was a sculpter or a cgi person), who was falling over himself to agree with everything Lucas said. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
And of course if you met your personal idol who you have dreamed about working even since you first saw Star Wars as a teenager, the person who you have held in such high esteem has having created such a large part of your childhood, has recognized that you are an expert in your field and has hired you (YOU!) to work on the <b>next Star Wars movie</b> and it's a dream come true and you could never hope for more, and you can't really believe that you actually have a job at Industrial Light and Magic/Skywalker Sound/Whatever, and he walks up and you guys are saying that the model makers shouldn't be a bit nervous? Imagine back before Episode I (and the Special Editions) came out and everyone and their mother got all jaded and said he ruined their childhood. Would you (think back now) have been a bit suck-uppy to George Lucas? The guy who was (at least until 1997) generally considered a God among men? Yeah, mm hmm. And with these guys, he's also the head boss who gives them their paycheck. So, uh, just because you see a few clips where they don't disagree with him doesn't mean they are lying down in puddle so he can crush their spinal cord as he contemplates on how to ruin cherished childhood memories and make the movies seem childish to you (which they were intended to be all along). <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
That kind of sounds stupid to me. It's the guy's job to make models or CGI, he's supposed to do it, and do it well, he's supposed to know what he's doing. He wasn't hired to suck up to Lucas.

"Oh, I'm not going to do a good job on that project, I'm just super psyched to be here, Lucey-baby!"

After watching the trailer, I can't say that I'm impressed. Personally I think it would have been a lot better if it didn't show so much about the movie.

Well actually. The majority of people. Aren't nitpicky enough to care. Only jaded nerds. Who have nothing better to do. Bother to spend their time complaining about. George Lucas ruining their childhood. By changing the color balance in a few frames of a 25 year old movie. So really. If you spend the energy and time. To complain about it. You're probably in the minority.
