Another Exploit

<div class="IPBDescription">offense turrets</div> I don't know if it was a bug or an exploit. But, there was 3 offense turrets in a hallway (forgot the map name, but the map has a room called 'holoroom') and they would not die. We had 4 siege cannons shooting at them. 2 from our base and 2 from the next room. I even shot grenades at them. They just stood there. The siege cannons fired on the turrets for 3 minutes or something like that. I think they would be dead by then.

I don't know if it was just a bug, exploit, lag, etc. But if its an exploit then its a bad one.

    Weird.

    It's probably not an exploit, but a bug. I've never run into anything like this before. Judging by the number of topics I've seen like this (none), I doubt it's too prevalent, and is therefore probably a bug. Were you ever able to kill them ever?

    There may have been a <i>lot</i> of defense chambers around.

    Yes, it's a bug we've heard about that seems to be focused around Hera.

    I had the same thing happen on Nancy once. I captured the cargo hold and preoceded to build a bunco of offense chambers. One room over they built a couple seige cannons, for the rest of the game those two seige cannons were shooting at one offense chamber and never even hurt it, it did kill some aliens who were walking by there but not a notch came off the OC.

    I know of an exploit for Marines(and quite possibly Khaara) that makes them almost impossible to kill but Im certainly not going to post it on this board that for sure.

    Yeah it happend to me before to on Bast we set up 22 sieges in are base because these turrets on the other side of the rotating door wouldn't die in the end though some guy with a nade launcher went around and killed them all.

    Yeah it definatly is a problem.

    The problem seems to be that the seige does little to NO damage at all.

    Very messed up.

    I've seen it happen differently the seige cannon gets the OC down to 0 health (no more notches) and it becomes invincible. Must be lag...

    yes one time on hera i had 4 seige turrets attacking a lone resource node in cargo storage, and it would not die.

    On ns_bast we were attacking the marine base, some gorge put up an Offense chamber, and built me into it (Onos). Well the Siege shot and the gorge ran away, but the offense chamber never got hurt, and neither did I. Luckily some marine came down with an HMG and blasted it and it died. I repayed him with immobolize and a quick death.

    ive had the same problem with siege turrets. we had 10+ of them shooting at a couple of offense chambers with no damage being done at all. a few guys with nade launchers went in and got the job done in a few minutes though.

    I just came out of a couple of games one of the arsclan servers. Something is seriously wrong with siege turrets above and beyond the problems where they hammer on an OC all game and never damage it. We built 4 siege turrets in the adjoining chamber of the left most hive in hera and the damn things would never target the hive.

    This happened on another map as well on a different arsclan server... I'm wondering if somehow it is possible to hack the range on siege turrets?


    Edit: I double-checked. Apparently the map perspective is a little off in commander mode as it appears to be much closer than it actually is.

    No, we eventually one the game, but we had to go around the turrets.

    only 3 defence chambers affect the healing, so all the others are useless.
