    That's an amazing picture and I still don't know how it's possible to achieve such results with a computer imaging program... Great work.

    Ditto! That thing is millimeters away from a photo!! Incredible!!

    The long hair is fantastic, and everything else is quite wonderful. If I really wanted to be picky (and if C&Cis what you want...), then I'd say that the area between the eye and nose is more stylized than realistic (the shadows, I think). And that's the worst thing I could say about it.

    The only thing I see is that the grass looks a bit unnatural.. and you can sort of see the premade brushes used in some places.. the rest almost looks like real a photo though!

    lol u did that in PS, at first glance I thought it was just a photograph <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    lol got lazy with the background unfortunately, my main focus was the horse, as thats what im focusing on improving.

    thanks for the crits <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> ill take em into note <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Very nice. The eyes are the only thing that doesn't look naturally tp me. To dark i think. Or something... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I liek the grass in the front, just liek a real pic, something in the way of the camera eye which is unfocused.

    Great job Kylie. But as for realism, while this was the closest to a photo I've ever seen, ways you could've made it photorealistic:

    Make the far off background not so pixelated.
    Part some of the hairs, or put appropriate shading on the hoove.
    Put more of a bend on the nose, it looks a bit flat.

    Otherwise, perfection!

    The white patch on the head (ears down to nose) is fairly monotone and as was previously stated makes the picture look flat in that area. Some shading to fit in with the light source on the horse's head should fix that up.

    Also maybe create more of a contrast somehow between the sections of white and the grass background.

    [Edit] It's not the tone of the white or the grass, it's the unusually straight edge of the head that's doing it for me.

    The snout could use abit more reddish/pinkishy colour and the white stripe over it's head could be more variation in the colour, right now it's too "pure" white. Awesome painting though! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
