So much so that they often take trips into the suburbs (which is bordered by woods on two sides) to graze on the residents lawns. Something tells me that if they're willing to risk coming into a heavily populated residential area in broad daylight to feed, their food source is strained.
Oh, and you couldn't move them. It'd be to expensive.
I find the idea of stuffing and mounting the corpse pretty disgusting. You took life primarily for the fun of it, and I don't think that's anything to be proud of.

On the subject of why deer is a problem in many places in the US: It's because wolves were hunted to extinction there. Where wolves live, there are no deer problems. The populations are balanced. Known fact (check it if you want.). So there XP

Hunting by humans couldn't possibly be a necessary part of the ecosystem unless we'd also done something to screw it up in the first place.

Hate to break it to you, but they <i>are</i> greatly overpopulated in my area (as anyone I know locally can tell you). So much so that they often take trips into the suburbs (which is bordered by woods on two sides) to graze on the residents lawns. Something tells me that if they're willing to risk coming into a heavily populated residential area in broad daylight to feed, their food source is strained.
Oh, and you couldn't move them. It'd be to expensive.
I find the idea of stuffing and mounting the corpse pretty disgusting. You took life primarily for the fun of it, and I don't think that's anything to be proud of.
At least you ate it.

That said, Venison is yummy. Hunting for food is ok. and that displayed deer head is COMPLETELY OUT OF PLACE XP. I think you need to find a better place to put it, imo.
On the subject of why deer is a problem in many places in the US: It's because wolves were hunted to extinction there. Where wolves live, there are no deer problems. The populations are balanced. Known fact (check it if you want.).

I was wondering about that myself. Hunting by humans couldn't possibly be a necessary part of the ecosystem unless we'd also done something to screw it up in the first place.
That said, leaving the deer as they are doesn't fix the problem. I can't say I like this solution either, though.
When I hunt, I use the meat to make random tasty treats. Deer jerky comes to mind, I usually let my uncle keep the heads though, he also has an outfit made of the skins, it's really cool.
Bu yea, go eat some tofu you hippies, or for the non hippies, how about some nice factory farmed cattle? Get p/od at that, not this guy that was hunting. Well, if not for hunting and general overpopulation the deer would be regulated by their natural predators. But now we have to dress up in camo and bright orange (stupidest idea ever) and shoot them ourselves because we built middle schools and strip malls where the bears are supposed to live.
Because I am in a hurry, I won't start handing out temps, though I'm certain this thread contains at least two. You can actually discuss a lifestyle choice without of condemning the other side.
