There's definitely room for messing around. Once I got aquatic form, I amused myself by swimming around the lake by Bloodhoof Village... I would pop up in front of any other players fishing at the water's edge and roar at them. The best response I got was "Don't eat my fish!" To which I answered "Catch me!! Druids make some good eatin!"

Wow... WoW looks amazing. I am definitely getting this game when it comes out [I'm hoping they get a dedicated server in Australia]. Edit: I thought they had PvP - that's what the raids were. But in the FAQ it says they still haven't figured it out... can anybody help?
They've got PvP. They're having a hard time making it fair. Its hard to balance, to prevent people from just going after the lowbies, like if your level 50 chasing after these level 40s in a raid. They have an honor system in, where you start out with a certain amount of honor. You get honor if you defeat higher level opponents, but lose some if you kill significantly lower level opponents. Once you reach a certain amount of honor, your own faction will start attacking you. This seems good on pen and paper, but the fact that you cant attack lowbies and protect your territory is a major downfall, so they're still figuring out the quirks.
My solution is to have NPC patrols on the borders, and when an enemy raids, have squads that become increasingly larger with each wave immediatly dispatch as soon as they step foot past the border and attack the raid. It would make it fun to raid (see how long you can last, how far you can get!) and it also protects lower level players.
World of Warcraft is taking some major steps in the MMORPG biz. They're trying to balance for PvP, and moster fights, all at the same time. Check out the battlegrounds/battlefields (forget the name, its one of the two) section on the site to see what they are planning for PvP. Basically, its an area thats constantly contested, and once you enter, you enter PvP, reguardless of server. There are castles, buildings, and even siege weapons that you can man (CATAPULTS!) in the area. Will be tons of fun defending your castle, launching a counter attack, repeat. Hopefully they can invent a system where you gain rank, sort of like Planetside, only .. less easy to climb the ladder, and there is a limit to the number of generals. Something like that.. then the generals can enter an overhead view and give orders to each indivudal unit, churn units out from the castles as NPCs, and control everything like the normal Warcraft RTS basically. Would be sweet.

I really suggest the ALT-Z idea. It takes off your user interface so you can get a picture of just the view without all of that extra clutter. You can make some pretty stunning desktops that way.
