**PLZ NOTE IAM SORRY FOR THE SWEARING**
before u say it i know what this error means
MAX_MAP_MIPTEX is when you used all of your 4MB texture memory
however i have bot used that many textures and ive heard you can increase it to 8MB
<a href='http://www.auctiongripes.com/ims/pic.php?u=16970dlki&i=27161' target='_blank'>http://www.auctiongripes.com/ims/pic.php?u=16970dlki&i=27161</a>
these are the amount of TOTAL textures i have used
i have used many more texture before on other maps and even some of my own WAD's
but this has really stumpd me <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Comments
when i try and compile the map on steam it places the map with the steam accound folder and names it after my email eg bla@bla.com.bsp
-texdata 8192
that will increase the texture limit to 8 MB, you can set that number larger, but for the people that have videocards with small amounts of memory will cause problems for them.
do i place it there (iam a noob really)
because if u do its not working

also what the hell are you using the original compile tools for? thats probably why it doesnt work in the first place, some of those tools are dated back to when hl first came out.
get zoners compile tools or xpcagey compile tools, and that should clear that up. because those old compile tools probably dont even have the -texdata command in them.
and you have to have "-texdata 8192" on every compile command.
that includes:
csg
vis
bsp
rad
so do yourself a favour, dl it and start using it. its very easy to use, every command is explained in a understandable way. and its much faster than vhe. never believd it myself but obviously I was wrong all the years <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
