Erm, that part is supposed to be lit only by the bright red flares.

my graphics card is a 9800 pro 256. and i dont recall seeing wacked out brightness in ravenholm, in fact it scared the poop out of me because i couldnt see. is there perhaps some lighting related console commands? cl_shadows or something that somehow got turned down to 0 all of a sudden?
also is there a way to make it so when you shoot a dead body, blood comes out, because once they are dead apparently they are drained of their precious bodily fluids.
The last level totally rocks.. IT ROCKS!!! I'm happy I spent money on this.
If it's to easy, turn it up a notch in difficulty, if it's on hard I believe that you are lieing. I died in Nova Prospekt atleast 20 times.. 10 of which where in the same freaking room. I had to bunker myself in with the turrets.

I went around to the next little connecting tunnel (between the two wings). I built up some tiny walls of crates and then braced the turrets with the barrels so the combine solders couldn't knock them over. Then, whenever one got shot over, I could quickly pick it up and replace it and then gently push a barrel to brace it again.
Things like that you've got to do when your fps likes to go from between 2-9 and jumps to 100 whenever it feels like it.
Personally, Ravenholm wasn't that scary . I liked that house overlooking the cliff by the bridge. I don't remember anything particularily scary about it, but it was just a cool house. I guess there might have been some headcrabs in the upstairs, but that might have been a house with the floor blown out.

Awesome game: the final levels were just what everyone wanted from the grav gun and very different and cool: just like the rest of the game. No, it wasn't as long as HL1, but it FELT epic because of all the very different sections, environments, types of gameplay, and so on.
I know some people complain about the story, but I love the way they tell stories: it's there, and there's plenty of character interaction, but nobody just comes out and TELLS you what's what. You have to piece it together by inference and clues.

Have any one noticed the shadows being all wrong? They go through tables and stack when in a pile of stuff. They also aint reacting on the flashligt only on enviromental lightning.
