Fatal Error

OK, I believe I have steam installed correctly on my computer (because i play tfc and that works fine). Today i downloaded NS and installed it. I can enter the Ns game but when looking for a server, it says it cant find the master server. When i try to find servers from the steam console on my desktop, i find many servers. I then double click on one and it launches ns. The sound comes on, but right as soon as it does, the game closes and goes back to my desktop saying a Fatal Error has occurred. The Error reads <u>NET_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINVAL</u>.     erm... good luck getting help here. Nobody ever seems to check tech support

    I say re-post this in general so that ppl actually see it... other than that, I can't help you.

    All I can suggest is check:

    Did you install STEAM via HL2 disk of Download

    Did you run Half Life before installing NS

    Did you run Half Life before RUNNING NS

    Did you install NS to the right folder?

    Can't help more than that... pretty odd bug you got going on

    So am i supposed to run halflife while installing ns, because during the last installation i had steam running and it said i needed to close it? Also im sure half life (hazard course) definetly works but when i go to play a NEW GAME the progaram freezes at this one part while i am riding on the train (this may be the problem). Do i run Halflife and the NS <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> As u can see im really confused... Should i reinstall halflife???

    he ment for you to install NS then run HL then run NS after HL works. the net error means its not connecting, as for the hl freezing that could be a problem toull need to goto your valve account name and delete the halflife.gcf file then go play hl and it will reinstall it.
