You can stream it live, or stream it from the archives 15 minutes after it finishes. If you're a gamespot subscriber you can also download it.

I just thought you might like to tune in, as I have this funny feeling (don't ask me why) that you may see something of interest.

basically something turned up at the shows that I never would have expected...

THE PHANTOM! =o

they were demonstrating the console which I'd totally written off as a myth made up by conmen up until now. The fully working consoles seemed to be on display and the head of the company was there explaining how it worked and some of the features the thing brought to the table.

I still dunno if I'd buy one but I'm no longer so quick to slam it with critisism as I previously was =3

It's a PC in a box. No, not like you <i>think</i> the Xbox is; the Phantom is purely components bunged into a smooth container and heralded as some revolution by crooks proven to have shady business careers. Just a bit disconcerting, then.

I dunno... the fact that the games are downloaded from an online catalogue service makes it pretty different... as does the fact all games will be guaranteed to run beautifully as per any console game because it'll be tweaked, tucked and refined just for the specific hardware of the platform =P

The idea of playing games so simply without constantly wondering if your PC has the right hardware, drivers, etc coupled with not having the complexity (and therefore the chance of things going wrong) as a PC makes it seem pretty tempting in many ways.

Like I said; not sure if I'd buy one but I'm not as quick to bash it as I was originally =P

I thought the gizmondo looked pretty cool. I like handhelds though.

The phantom does look pretty kickass for a console, which is what it is. If you only play PC games, good for you, they are both good, but yea, it looks cool.

It just doesn't offer what a console should: a viable and unique alternative to PC gaming. Thus, I'm not interested at all.

Phantom is one giant hoax. You'd be better off making your own computer. They recently tried to sue [H]ardOCP, but they got pwned.

Who in the right mind will pay for an inferior PC parts, and the game that are only available after downloading... Heck and you know what? I think I'll play my computer game on a freaking monitor, not a blurred TV resolution.

Ironically it wasn't the phantom I was talking about. There was a little bit about planetside right at the start that you could miss if you did a slightly longer than average blink.

But hey, the phantom looks interesting as well.....

Well, they mentioned the player-initiated Ad campaign (which I plan to bring to the NS forums on monday), and that the battle ranks are going to be upped to 23 instead of the current 20, three more ranks people, that's enough extra certification points for a TANK.

Wow. 3 cert points and something that's already been posted. Really worth it to watch especially for those of us who don't want to play Planetside <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' />
