Upgrade Notations

So when you have marine upgrades do you prioritize weapons or armor when notating their status? Typically human beings from the planet earth state the weapons first and then the armor. Something along the lines of: "we had 2/1 upgrades and hmgs". This statement should carry the idea that the marines have level two weapons and level one armor.

I have recently been informed however that a strange group of people from worlds not our own have created an entirely different NS language. They would interpret the above statement to mean that the marines have level one two armor and level one weapons.

So I ask you community, which is the proper way of describing your upgrade status? I remind you if you don't answer with weapons first you hate America and support international terrorism.

    for me I use armor first, weapons second, going from top to bottom on the HUD.

    Though the other way seems norma too,l for anyone who played mtg at least

    If they are the same I would just say 2/2 or 1/1. If they are different and im not feeling lazy on my typing I like to throw in an "a" or a "w." 2w/1a or something like that. And judging from my example I guess I would put weapons first anyway <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I wouldn't be able to tell which is first if you just gave me two numbers. I'd probably think a/w though, if forced to interpret those numbers. Putting the a and w in there like SandVaN does really helps, and I highly reccomend it for all correspondence.

    Seeing as armor is the top icon on the HUD, armor first is the only correct notation. Obviously.

    Though there's not much much use saying it, especially for competitive play. If you're marine, you just look at your screen. If you're alien, you don't have to know. And in most cases you can figure it out.
