It was really cool to see a developer actully play with the community!

    I think I played with Squeal like a Pig once. With a couple of guides too, some guys from FoR. Not that special, but any time you see a dev/pt in their own game is pretty damn cool.

    Brings me to wonder if Gooseman ever plays CS, or if Carmack ever plays Q3 hehe.

    "OMG YOU SHOULD ADD FLAME THROWERS MAN" and he's is all like "Yea ok, can I get backup?" and the guy is all like "NO REALLY FLAME THROWERS, IT'D OWN CS MAJOR TIME!" and then he's like "Backup?" and the whole team is like "YEA FLAME THROWERS! KICKASS IDEA MAN!" and he's like "Guys common.. Onos... plz >.>?" and then

    That's a good reason why he shouldnt use the name Flayra in-game anymore. With the release of NS he became a instant celebrity.

    Yeah...The only person of note I've played with is Sgt. Bilko on Bast. We were both marines. And we didn't have a CC. And they had Onoses.

    Looks like the devs hardcoded their wonids into the game. Kinda cool, prevents people from impersonating them.

    I was in the server a few minutes before it crashed, which sucked cause... Doesn't everyone want to show off in front of Flayra? Oh well, I got topscore in the game after, but Flayra didn't reconnect.

    GAH! I can't believe I missed him. I must have joined the server just after he left, because I joined while most of those people were still connected and eventually took over command duties.     Think thats how they did it? I thought wonid's were a combination of your CD key and your IP address... Actually that doesn't seem right now since my IP canges every time I restart my computer and I'm pretty sure my wonid hasn't changed...

    The first 3 numbers of your IP never change as long as you're on the same ISP.

    I think the really impressive thing is the fact that on a 30 person server pings were down to around 200 :D

    oh and yes the icons are wonid based, not IP. Your wonid's are independant of IP too btw.

    and also its only the first 2 numbers that don't change. the 3rd actually can change on larger isps.

    Yeah what are those tags by certain names?
    I've only ever seen 2 (including the one posted above)

    I asked the other guy who had the icon by his name, what it meant,
    he replied with:
    "it means i'm 1337"

    I was tempted to swear at him for not giving me a straight answer
    and for claiming to be "elite" but i choose to ignore him and eat him
    instead.

    The little blue TSA symbol means developer, a green computer tower with a triangle means admin, and there's a third for playtesters I believe, but I can't remember what it is.

    I played with a developer once, it was one of my first games.
    It was neat he taught me alot of strategies.

    Ya this was a fun game but the server was drooping all of the players all of the time... it was a 1.02 beta server and was not lagging at all! With all 32 players! As I remember Flarya was playing a lerk and bitting every one to death but I was held up in the tsa base welding every thing and every one.

    Actually, I've been recognized from forums =)

    Not that it matters, but its just kind of fun when somebody says "you are darkmantiz from the forums right? Cool!"

    And when u get those PMs here in forums saying "I've played with you, nice skulking that game man" =)




    Maybe that Icon thing could be something contest winners could get as well? =) But then again, everybody would have it =/.

    (I actually thought it was just the pop-up menu marker that was infront of Flayras name at the time of the PS =/ )
