<div class="IPBDescription">After a slightly long delay</div> As many of you may remember the NSGuides program started up probably almost a year ago, we were officially hosted however there were internal problems and we are now a seperate entity. We finished our site and have several articles up, more are being worked on.
The link to the website is <a href='http://www.nsguides.org' target='_blank'>www.nsguides.org</a>
We are currently looking for experienced people who are willing to write articles for the site, they can be pretty much anything related to NS gameplay, anything that will help somoene better understand the game.
If your interested please sign up on our forums and let us know.
Note: Someone will probably ask, we are not officially hosted and there is no guide icon, so if you are interested for that reason, I'm sorry but we don't have one. Its not needed to help someone anyways.
Thanks,
Major Chrome

I heartily support the product and/or service.
Great initiative!
The manual on the main page was begun a while ago by XP_Cagey, who's just too good a coder to waste his time on documentation. NiteOwl's manual will go with NS 3.0's installer.
Maybe this could be used as the 3.0 manual? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->
There are times when I ask myself whether I write with invisible pixels...

Awww.. the old manual is gone that was up for so long. Some hillarious stuff was in there, expecially the concept 3Hive Gorge ability.

I think you guys will be much more free to act as you like as a separate entity, and it means less work for us also.
i'm considering writing a doc on comming <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

<a href='http://manual.nsguides.org/basic/damageCalculator.htm' target='_blank'>spread the link around!</a>
Can't really see what led you to believe that this was primarily about skill increase...
eidt: What's pimikaimitonikanzunitonimiki Mean?
Geeze... Ya know, school must be useless. Reading books about brain surgery just don't teach ya quite like opening up a skull and diggin in!

We seem to labor under different ideas of what "getting it right" means. To me, it means primarily to be able to take part in a game of NS and to enjoy the experience - which is something this manual will be very good at making easier for inexperienced players. It won't tell you how to maximise your every move's efficiency, this is true, but that's not the purpose. NSLearn has created some excellent resources to introduce reasonably experienced casuals to higher-challenge-gameplay, but that's only ever going to be the second step.
Our purpose is to help new players, better understand the game, so they can at least have somewhat of a clue of what they are doing, and give them basic ideas of how to play each character, hopefully we will get some sort of training sessions going for new players in the near future as well.
no skill involved. just the pattern of thinking.
