Comments
1/ Get firefox, its much less vulnerable to spyware than IE
2/ get ad-aware and spybot. Both great spyware removal programs.
3/ good firewall? try zone-alarm, its free.
I always follow these steps myself, and im spyware-free.
+ a virus scanner of your choice
+ windows updates
+ an alternative browser <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
2-Try Hitmanpro , it's a (Dutch) bundle of all good freeware spyware removers and blockers, which are run scripted, it's really easy, just start it, come back after 30 min- few hours (depends on your PC) and you're PC is a whole lot cleaner of spyware.<a href='http://www.hitmanpro.nl' target='_blank'> www.hitmanpro.nl</a>
Dutch to English website translation: <a href='http://www.worldlingo.com/wl/translate?wl_lp=NL-en&wl_glossary=gl1&wl_fl=0&wl_ucp=1&wl_rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hitmanpro.nl%2F&wl_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hitmanpro.nl%2F&wl_qopt=0' target='_blank'>Click here</a>
Bad translation, for a better one, try <a href='http://www.freetranslation.com/web.asp' target='_blank'>this one</a>
3-Quit surfing on crack/porn/gambling/any evil other sites
4-Get Linux xD, try the Knoppix live cd: <a href='http://www.knoppix.com' target='_blank'>www.knoppix.com</a>
For some names of good FREE antispyware programs:
Ad-Aware SE [removes spyware]
Spybot: Search & Destroy [removes and blocks spyware]
Spywareblast [blocks spyware]
CWShredder [removes specific Coolwebsearch spyware]
Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta)
Google these, and have fun removing spyware.

no way to block those spyware?
btw, lots of window messages keep spamming to me and repeating the same stuff"ur computer was infected by spyware"
are they one of them ( the spyware)
sure there is a way to "block" the spyware ... just read our hints above
if there are windows spawning up ... and you dont have service pack 2 installed (what you should have) you might want to disable the windows messenger service ;-)

yes, don't click em
Lastly, don't do anything that your mother wouldn't be proud of. You know what I'm talking about, and I'm hoping that the audience here is mature enough to acknowledge what I'm saying without being stupid or making snide comments. Your personal opinion (or your mother's, for that matter) on it doesn't really matter, because those sites are riddled with spyware and adware and the such.

What kind of "window messages" are these, specifically? Are they Internet Explorer pages?

Is this messenger service popups? Because if that's the case, no you aren't nessecarilly infected but a really useless windows service is enabled.

I second this
1. Start -> Run -> type "services.msc"
2. Scroll through the names until you find the one called Messenger
3. Right-click on it, and choose Properties
4. Under "Startup type", change it from Automatic to Disabled
5. Under "Service status", it should say Started, with four buttons below it (some of them are probably grayed out). Click on the Stop button to end it. It will probably take a few seconds to end.
6. You're done! Close all of the windows that you just opened.

Use firefox, don't click any ads or popups. Get ad block plugin if you want. And I'm too lazy to show you the links to the ad block plugin but it should be somewhere in the firefox site.
Note that when you try to download from this site, Firefox will bring up a warning message. It is safe to download from that site, it just isn't an official Mozilla site. I like it though, because it is the most complete list I have seen.
/me bangs head on some wood
It's clunky, it's full of holes and it's very lax on w3c standards compliance (which is why some websites won't work properly when using non IE browsers), spyware that can install itself regardless of the user clicking the no button on the prompt, prompts that will keep showing up until the user clicks yes...
If you continue to use IE even when you know how much crap can get through it, then you deserve whatever you get.
first thing Windows anti spyware did whe n I installed it was it offered to disable it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
IMO better than spybot or adaware.
Oooh, I can now say that Firefox is for people who jerk off alot. Cool. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Or we could be just people that would like to go an extra mile for security. After all, most spyware exploit vulnerabilities which involve IE's security holes.
I've used IE before, and I got lots of spyware (and no I don't go to pr0n, being that my PC's in the living room, and there's always someone else in the house other than myself)
Switched to Firefox, had way less problems on my side. All I get now are tracking cookies.

Well, goes to show that the spyware removal software <u>does</u> work.
Heheheh
*pets pe....firefox slowly*
