NS rules, but so does CS. So quit flaming.

Is anyone else tired of going into threads and seeing "CS sucks" or "all CS players are lamers"?

I mean, seriously. Your generalizing is insulting an absolutely amazing number of people - CS is the #1 Half-Life mod, or have you forgotten?. I play CounterStrike, and love it. I play NS, and love it. I nearly always play Kharaa (half the time as Gorge), and I have never said "HA HMG plz thx".

It's true that the CS community attracts its share of lamers. Want to fix that? Make your own clan of responsible mature people, and set up a server. If you're not willing to pay a share of the server costs, or to go to the trouble of forming the clan, then what gives you the right to complain about it?

You say that you want to eventually become the #1 mod. With the quality of NS, it's certainly possible...but for every person who has enjoyed CS and visits your forums and sees the "What Cs Players Think..." thread first (oh, by the way, I love Starcraft too), there's one less player who will ever want to play with any of you.

Anyways those people who keeps flaming n whining about CS vs NS thing.. well i dont know what to say. Problem with the players who blames everything to CS's players is most likely due to the Hacks problem.
Aimbots n Wallhacks etc never originated in CS. Those go back as far as TFC/HL DM. Just that in CS there were more of them cuz, yes CS is right now the #1 mod. CS also has "the most" players playing it.

I play CS occasionally, the only thing that bothers me is elitest bastages(but those are in every game) who scream 'OMFG I PIZONED YOU" everytime they kill you. That and the "wahhh awp **obscenity** wahhh wahh" - or - "omfg ct's are **obscenity** cause they have m4's wahhhwah awhehawehhew".

The last quote is referring to <i>jerk</i> CS players, not <i>all</i> CS players. And it is true about jerk CS players, they are the biggest jerks in the gaming universe... although its good fun to blow their brains out in a bloody explosion of n00b when they're camping in the corner of their spawn with an AWP. Nice thing about NS is that lamers and jerks (and both) die by default, so all they can do is whine.

if it wasn't for the MAAAD popularity of CS, the HL modding community wouldn't be as robust, HL wouldn't have lasted so long, and NS would not have been born into such a wonderfully obsessed bunch of gamer that are HL mod players.

remember, before you were an NS disciple, you WERE something else. most probably a CS acolyte.

Its not so much the game I dislike but some of the people that play it, since it is such a popular mod it is bound to attract some idiots. Like when I was playing cs at a LAN place on this one server with my friends, I was playing for a while doing pretty good beating the clan that owned it and then all of a sudden they ban me. It turns out they banned me because I was "hacking" just because my score was around 30 and 10, and I got a hs olmost every round. That made me pretty mad so I havent played since, I just hope that no one bans someone in ns because they are better then them.

All people from cs should die. your talking about how the people that play it will be more mature if i start a clan? sry that makes no sense what about the other team? do i have to make sure the other team is not full of dumbasses? Ive been in a few clans and you make friends with the people in them only to be cussed out by flashing them by mistake, or not taking a shot at an enemy. Then just because you made one mistake they wanna get you out of the clan after you were friends with them for a month or so. You also have to remember that because it is the most popular it also has the most annoying stupid arse newbies. OK there MAY be some fine people but id have to say at least 75% of the people that play it are just annoying little 6th graders. Please stop whining, we can say what we wanna say and dont pretend its not true.

First off, we alll know what is happening to this thread once I finish my reply...

Next, NecroBill, opinions are allowed here, blatent bashing and cursing is not, keep it out or you will be out.

Finally, CS is the Miscrosoft of gaming. They may have done some silly moves or made some silly adjustments and half of their users may be n00bs of fools, but I think in the long run it helps mods like NS. It strives new mods to be better, and make a quality product to attract the attention away from CS. In short, CS has made all other modders make their game better, and what is wrong with that? <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'>
