Lan Game?

<div class="IPBDescription">just that....</div> First off let me say how wonderfully amazing your game is.
Truely a wonderfull acheivment in gaming history, cudos to you.
To my question.....
Before I try out the commander class in a real world setting I would at least like to get a feel for it while playing with my self (In a LAN game, sickos) instead of jumping into the seat and guarnteeing the dimise of my squad.
However I cannot seem to load a LAN game. First I only get a map selection for for the original half life multiplayer (Lamda Bunker, Snark Hunt, etc) Then when it does load up it is just like spectator view in HL but with NS side menu help bars (Also is there any way to disable these?)
Then when I hit F4 to enter the selection room all kinds of weird stuff will happen, sometimes it will freeze, sometimes it will root me in place and give me a weapon, sometimes it will just shut down NS.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just a lost cause?

can you play other HL mods ?
in the meantime try completely un installing all sierra products and then deleting any files left on your hard drive that are related to CS. then installing everything over again. download new graphics card drivers, sound card drivers, and directx (if u have 8.0 or 8.1 try degrading to 7.0 and vica versa).
also go into directx diagnostics program (should be in ne of your directx folders) click the sound tab and then change your sound acceleration from max to standard
