Audio Problems

<div class="IPBDescription">Soundblaster Live Conflict.</div> i have a soundblaster live 5.1.. when goto a game, my audio seems to mess up and all you can hear is a very loud abnoxious static sound via ingame AND ventrilo, but then when i exit the game.. it goes back to normal.. any ideas on how to fix this

Try playing with your audio options, like turning EAX on/off, etc. Also, make sure you have the newest drivers for the sound card.

i did update my drivers, still no luck.. the eax option helps me out a lot though.. i believe it has to do with the soundblaster itself since no other soundcard seems to be experiencing such problems.

How did the EAX help? Did it clear up?

I have an older sb, one of the live! series, and I've never had a problem.

I use to had this trouble with old driver.Now i use version 5.12.2.252 date : 2002-07-24 they work fine. The pack name is LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG) 23,3 Mo. GL

i have that.. still problems, i'll try completely uninstalling and re-installing.
