Mp_drawdamage?

<div class="IPBDescription">did it die?</div> I can still type mp_drawdamage in the server console, and it's still a variable in the ded-vars.txt file; but did the coders take out the ability for servers to enable drawdamage -- just now I changed it from 0 to 1 and it didn't do anything? One reason I like running a server with it enabled is to be able to see whether or not I'm actually hitting the objects I'm shooting at. It's especially useful since one can be aimed directly at a structure that's adjacent to a corner wall, shoot at it, and land no shots. To be able to know where to shoot things (since the hitboxes aren't like one would expect them to be) is useful <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. mp_drawdamage also helps give an idea of how strong buildings and life forms are.
Is there any chance that it will be reincorporated in future patches? Also, why was it coded out? What's the harm in keeping another option for server admins?
