People Need To Start Using The Gorge Right.

<div class="IPBDescription">Common mistakes by newbie gorges</div> It's simple as using him wrong.
1. Always build an equal amount of defense Chambers to your offense chambers, movement chambers, and sensory chambers
2.dont randomly place chambers, one offense chamber in the middle of nowehere alone won't do much. Place them blocking entrenaces to hives, around corners, and around Resource Towers.
3.Remeber you can only use a certain amount of chambers in one area, group them close with defense behind offense and offense behind above or in front of sensory (they can shoot right threw it)
4.Place webs on the ground around charp corners with these gardens of chambers near so marines get stuck in front of 4 offense chambers shooting them up.
5.Movement chambers - place them in all your hives so your team has quick access
6.Use all your weapons: spray your friends, use babbles on enemies and enemis structures and If you are in trouble you can always use your primary.
7.When building anything as a gorge holding the use key will speed up the building process, it's not required like the marines need to do, but if you are low on resource's you probably have nothing better to do then sit around and wait for stuff to build, why not speed it up? - very helpfull towards the beginging of the game
8.Towards the end of the game go with your team to attack Marine bases, you can sit nearby their base and heal your attacking teamates with the spray.. also placing defense chambers outside of marine bases once you are ready to attack it is great, your team can fall back and regenerate quickly, just dont build everything blocking hallways, an Ono's cannot get by a huige structure like that easily. Simply placing 3 or 4 defense chamebrs against one side of the wall with 3 or 4 offense chambers in front of them will provide protecting for the deffense chambers and the same thing on the other side of the wall... that way marines will have trouble attacking just one side and may need to split.. one marine against 6 OC and DCs will not get far, even two will have trouble when they're being attacked from two different directions.. you may not even need the OC's there because your team could destroy the marines quick, but it's better safe than sorry... Start building on one side first and get 2 OC's and 2 DC's (in front) and then do the other side, it's safer than builiding each side slowly if low on resources. Now If possible get another enterance to their bases and do the same thing.

I didn't put it there, but placing web on the ground around here is a great stratgey as well... Also get to the enterance safely and send out your bables! DESTROY!!!

also dont forget : The gorge is just as important to the kharaa as the commander is to the Marines
Foward bases rule... , however the thing them is that they are hard to do... with marines spawning out near you and running around it's hard to build, I think my OC/DC combo works great, but whos to say it couldn't use a few movement chambvers for our benefit.
Two of the hives didn't have defense, offensive or any chambers at all!
''what a'' did I say. then I ask to the team ( especially the gorges ) to put some defenses...nothing...well ok, then i'll do it myself... Offense chambers, defense chambers, movement and sensory chambers and i place them in a way they dont get hurt to much...One hive to go...Damn it's under attack, I use the movement chambers to get their... Marines where shooting at the hive...that had no defenses...So when the marine is killed i do the same ting OC DC SC and MC...( it's on a map with 2 hives called data core and ventilation C3 ) I see a catwalk up there...change into lurk, walk on the wall, and change back to gorge...Put up a resource tower a node. Three OC and one DC ( not much room ) DAMN, Ha Hmg marine. I go to corner and cloak, he destroyed one of my OC, but didn't saw the two others...he died. I web the area from which he was coming ( did same thing with hives ).
I continue, and see a teammate injured, didn't have time to heal him, cause he was already running for the smaal outpost ( factory turret and resource tower <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> ) He didn't get killed, he was too fast...decide to get in, damn no, to risky, so I just send continually my bablers...it got destroyed ( don't know if teammate was helping though...) And we won...Gorge is usually my favorite.
But the point is, that you always have to defend your hives! NEVER leave 2 hives alone, always defend them.At ventilation area I was sometimes under attack and my OC where getting hurt badly, so I heal them. Another point to remember, as a gorge...always heal nearby injured chambers, especially the hive! It heal itself but to slowly, so heal it ( also put some defense chambers under).
I agree with the upgrades for the gorge, cloak, adrenaline and carapace, always using them as gorge.

I know celerity allows you to spray, web, heal and let out babbles faster, but if it can make you build faster I have no idea... you build a lot faster if you press the Use key on a devolping chamber, which is quiet funny since many people who join kharaa first never do it while some who played mariens first always use the Use key. If you have nothing better to do than sit there and wait for structures to build and resources to fill why not make them build quicker? or spraying web in front of OC's.
