I found this today:

<a href='http://stuffo.howstuffworks.com/a-team-finding.htm' target='_blank'>Finding The A-team: A Stuffo Experiment</a>

It starts with him posting an ad:

<img src='http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/a-team-finding-1.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

Hilarity ensues.

    Holy crap! The amount of serious replies is both scary and hilarious at the same time!

    These two in particular sounded the most serious... I'm just wondering how this thing is going to pan out. Hilarity will surely ensue though,

    I like the guy with the "innate ability to shoot a machine gun at enemy trucks to make them flip and eventually explode after the occupants have crawled out."

    What the hell do you think retired Navy Seals and the like do for a living?

    I really wouldn't be surprised if those are serious replies, as for the original request...

    Actually, i happen to know lots of military/ex military including 2 ex navy seals.

    They are retired and have normal jobs, one is a school teacher and another runs his own accounting buessness. he was a seal in vietnam and he wont ever talk about what he did, not even to his kids..

    In fact with Iraq going on the US government uses a lot of guys from these "defense contract companies" *cough cough mercenaries.

    such as these guys.

    <a href='http://www.blackwaterusa.com/' target='_blank'>BlackwaterUSA</a>

    I know 2 guys, both are cops now, One is ex army, an older guy but a veteran of 3 wars. They both got letters within the last year and a half from the US government offering them LOTS of $$$ to go to Iraq for 6 months (extendable to 12) to do training and "other services in regards to their past expirience".

    They both said no thanks. The goverment might pay nice, ($150,000 for 6 months) but they dont have to give you insurance coverage meaning if u get wounded or killed you or your family is out of luck past what the government agreed to pay you.

    In the end its cheaper than paying the real military to do the same job and if you get captured or killed, your screwed and the goverment doesnt ahve to count you in the troop casualty numbers.
