<div class="IPBDescription">the #1 NS server in the near future!</div> <span style='color:red'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>DO NOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS YOU READ THE RULES</span></span>
You must remember the following rules when suggesting:
-MUST be easy to spell
-MUST be easy to remember
-MUST be simple
-MUST not limit the community to Just natural-selection.
We are leaving in the possibility that we may expand into other games.
so it must not contain NS, naturalselection, or strong refrences to natural-selection.
-Only submit a suggestion if you actually think it's good. There is no point in submitting a stupid/joke suggestion, it will only spam this post.
<span style='color:red'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>DO NOT BOTHER SUGGESTING UNLESS YOU READ THE RULES ABOVE</span></span>
====================================================
Here are examples of bad suggestions:
-nsarmslab (ji know its taken, just an example, tied into NS too much)
-tributetonancy (too tied to NS and too complicated)
Here are examples of good suggestions:
-www.infantryportal.com (not TOO tied into NS, simple, easy to spell...etc)
You must remember, that any suggestion in here may be used. In the event that it is used, nothing special will be awarded to the person that suggests it other than the credit for the suggestion, and perhaps "props".
Let the games begin!

Advertise some information and some plans to help people create a name, and convince people that your site will thrive over others and has something special about it.
At the time, both Amazon and Infoseek existed and sold competing services/products. Both were beginning to expand their target market into broader demographics with a wider array of product and service lines. I remember the analyst praising Amazon for its choice in naming itself, as, while the "Infoseek" name was very appropriate when dealing in books, it's not terribly appropriate when you're trying to deal in electronics, kitchen appliances, clothes, and whatever the hell else you can buy at Amazon today. Names like Yahoo, Google, eBay, Amazon... these allow the owner of the entity to go anywhere with the product or service being offered without having to redefine the name. I mean.. Amazon... you think... "BIG"... and that's exactly what it's become. Think abstract... something that will allow you to change with the times, just in case you decide it's necessary you do so.
Meh.. but it's just a name. If your server offers what a mass of players seeks, it will be active pretty much regardless of its name. Good luck finding a name with which you're satisfied.

You are right in every way.
I have seen mostly horrible suggestions, largely due to people not reading the rules. But I must admit there were some really good suggestions in there too.
To the response of the person asking for proof of the claim for #1 server. You seem to have taken me saying "#1 server" for "#1 community", its not hard at all to become the #1 NS server and maintain it... we are not claiming to be the #1 community anytime soon.... although who knows? it may happen
We will certainly be competing with the likes of G4B2s, NSarmslab, WhenDarknessfalls, and I-AM. I hope to take on the good aspects of all three communities and implement them in the server.
The ultimate goal would be to create a custom maps server where everyone playing on there plays with strategy, and where asshats are few and far between, but that's just a longshot =)
PS: I have edited the main page with big red "do not participate" lines so hopefully people will not participate without reading the rules.

Adding 'the' in front of some of them might sound/look better.
I don't think any of these are taken.
