Crash after connected

When I connect to a server it connects OK but when the console goes up the game crashes and there is a looping sound od the game.

I have:
PII, 450mhz, Voodoo2 (8mb), Win98, 128mb ram

    I have EXACTLY the same problem.

    System:

    Windows XP Professional.
    Soundblaster Live!
    Abit KT7A.
    AMD TB 1100MHz.
    Radeon 64MB DDR ViVo.

    This problem exists now, I didnt have this problem before, but today all the time it crashes when loading is over and then it plays that same sound in loopback. Then I'll need to push ctrl alt del and close hl.exe.

    Really annoying cause you cant even play..

    I can't **obscenity** understand what went wrong. It worked like CHARM before 1.02 came out but now 1.01 nor 1.02 servers wont work for me.

    It gets stuck in "loading..." in 1.01 servers.

    And it gets stuck when game should start, after that Server # XX thing in 1.02 servers.

    Don't remember if stuck is right word but I mean that I cant do nothing in HL then, need to push ctrl alt del and close hl.exe...

    This is not funny, I just installed newest Radeon's catalyst drivers and it didnt help me out of this.
