story of my life
i will setup a new server ,.... but mods are Offline :-(
modns.org
Temporarily Off-line. Downtime is estimated to be < 24 hours
:-( I neeeeeed plugins.
modns.org should have given some advance notice, and attempted to make an update on the ETA scheduled time. Whatever happen to the days of running your webserver with a parallel server and making your changes there? Wasn't that the good Admin thing to do without being totally down? That was a very pro way to go about it. It just seems these days that people just take their webserver down with little regard. Ok, now that I have blown my steam off...
depot, do you have darkns.xf's plugin for Infinite levels, version 3.86?
Z
Im having problems with my extralevels2 plugin...Thickend skin, and nano armor arent working, and seem to be severly lagging the server. I think I may need to recompile it. Would you have that anywhere?

If I know depot, he's going to ask u this question:
What version AMXx are you running? i.e. AMX 0.99, AMXx 1.00, 1.01. and if you are running 1.01 if you are running with the latest patch/distribution.
Is there any debug information or errors in your console upon intializing the game or if it crashes what the console tells you on why it crashed on that plugin.
depot apparently does not recommend going to 1.01 as there has been some plugin incompatibilities. I run it and have had minimal problems with it, I think the only thing that I ran that was incompatible was Spawn Invulnerability. As far as Extralevels2 itself, I would not know, I run Infinite levels by darkns.xf
Good luck
Z
The plugin runs fine... except for when people try use some items from the /menu command. There arent any errors, it doesnt crash my server. It just starts lagging a bit, and bugs peoples scores.
Would you happen to have the plugin you are using available?

Did you apply the newest NS server patch? I am not sure how large or small your server is but it might help. This would make your NS version 3.0.1f
I do not have the plugin itself Infinite Levels available at the moment, thats what I an trying to get from depot (see previous thread to depot) since modns.org is down. I am in need of the source (sma) for Infinite levels 3.86 of which I am running but it is compiled with my custom settings. Sorry
Z
(In modules.ini)
Have you verified that when you take the plugin out, that the problems go away?
Z
Its a brand new install of NS 3.0 final with the 3.0.1 upgrade.
Is an AMD XP 2000+ 512 RAM, 20 slots. its on a 10 meg connection in a datacenter outside of Washington DC
I think I just need to re compile the plugin is all.

We don't know why the website is down, so let's give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was due to circumstances beyond their control. That being said, it wouldn't have hurt those in the know to post a thread here detailing the issue/s.
Unfortunately I do not have darkness' infinite_levels plugin.
I'm working on 3.90 of InfLevels, but I did remember to make a backup of 3.86. I don't have any effective method of distribution, short of posting on the amxmodx.org site, which I hope I wont have to do... (as that's work, and work is...harder than not-work...)
3.9x should be the final version, however, may move it to 4.0 when all the bugs are gone...
You'll like what it'll have, though at first you may think the plugin borked the game...
More than that, you will have to wait for...

Aren't you glad that plugin authors follow this rule, and test before release?
...of course this parallelism is also why this comp is still running services for mySQL and a PHP webserver...
if it stays down any longer, we should make a temp site to tide us over untill it comes online again.
i could throw something together if anyone is up to it
