<div class="IPBDescription">Expect the unexpected</div> Hi there my felllow marines!! i know that out of the 3 chamgers, sensory is the most hated now.. sesnory allows a sneaky alien to munch on a bunch of marines and then later on at 2:00 you see a focus fade. the comm is still trying to build an obs.. AS you can see, sensory is overpowered!! stupid and with pros, its GG when the first SC chamber drops.

BUT!!! DO NOT DESPAIR!! THERE IS A AWAY TO COUNTER IT!!!
First !! before the game starts! go alien and quickly go gorge and drop a DEfence chamber, don't drop MCS cuz they are better then DCS, WE dont want speedy skulks or silent ones either!!

AFter you dropped your DC quickly switch back to marines!! the aliens will be happy that someone dropped a chamber, but now !! you won't have to worry about cloaked aliens~!!!

i found this out after playing ns 3.0.. i hated SC as a marine so i went alien and dropped DC!!

This is a underhanded and extremely sneaky trick!! but it can determine the outcome of a a game!!

the only way to counter this is if someone else goes gorge and quickly drops SC!!! questions? comments!!

no it won't.. ITs perfectly legal...since 3.01 all chambers were balanced so any chamber will do.. anyways aliens are grateful that atleast someone will drop something

plus this does have a bad side.. a pro fade with regen will be able to hold off marines anyways..and redemp for gorges..

Cloaking is ridiculous now. A skulk can run up to you partially cloaked and kill you. It's difficult to see it too. Change cloaking back to the way before and make upgrades cost something x(. I'm tired of seeing sensory first on pubs and aliens gettin focus ASAP to overpower the marines. With sensory chambers nearby, the skulks become hard to kill as they can get within melee range before the marine realizes it.

thats why i do it.. im not going into an ns game just to be killed by someone i cant see.. i dont have time to waste on dieing... thats why i;ll drop a dc and switch to marines, im only here to enjoy my time

Stop taking monk3y so seriously. His name is monk3y with a goddamn 3 in it. Haha joke get it funny. But he does have a point. I'd do just about anything to keep aliens from going sc, to the point of team switching dirtiness. Invisible enemies that kill you in one bite aren't challenging, they're just annoying.

So far the only sc counters I've seen are:

Gamma and contrast exploiting until you can see cloakers
Volume mad cranked
Snorting stimulants to give you that extra itchy trigger finger
Team switching and forcing the aliens to go another chamber

Go out rush RTs, armour 1, drop obs in key locations on approach to base or at sub-bases around the map, gg marines win.

sigh.. ive tried many counters.. i even had decent marines on my team.. ive tried all that you suggested.. i dropped like a bazillion obs around the map, not just anywhere, next to elec nodes, in key locations.. but its not the cloak thats the problem.. its the damn focus.. i upgraded lvl1 armor and started rushing hmgs and passing them out.. i had mot... i scan as many times as i dropped medpacks..

still its not the cloak.. its the damn focus.. one fade can kill a group of marines with hmgs.. lvl1 armor..

Fade with focus comes in swipes and blinks away... the marine is weakened and before he has a chance to be welded fade comes back and kills him.. fade keeps coming in and focus killing everyone.. BS....

yeah dont take me serious...look im not gonna play a game that can kill me without warning.. WTH.. im suppose to enjoy playing this game.. now that ever time i play they all get focus.. its just plain stupid..its not even fun anymore..

just look at it how many people play ns now? its usualy only about 200 now.. and rapidly decreasing.. There not having fun so they go play other games

why even bother.. this game is become cruddy.. its not even fun.. pretty soon your players are gonna leave and then you will have no one to ban..

1,531 players right now. As I post this, just a few minutes after you posted, not an hour or in the middle of the night in the US (probaly the peak of NS players in the world).

1: No one is asking you to play this game. (In fact I ask you not to.)

2: This game is made free, its pretty bad you have to be so ungreatful to be so lame as to spend the first 25 res you get on gorging and buliding 1 DC and then switching teams and potentially ruining 5+ other people's fun.

3: If there was a rubber stamp of "lame" I would stamp all over your face.

I agree with monk3y on some things, just totally not on the switching teams and dropping dcs (LAME). I would be happy is cloaking was just made the way it was before, when the fricking skulks couldn't move all over the map while cloaked. My gamma is set really low, I can't even see a moving skulk let alone one right in front of me.

SC is countered the same friggin way it was in the old versions... 2 hive lockdown with electrification...

The ONLY difference..... god forbid... the comm actually has to build and effectively use more than one observatory..... HOLY ****

I'm sure many servers wouldn't ban you for such actions... but I know for a fact you would be banned if you did that on lunixmonster. It is generally considered TERRIBLE form to use F4 to your advantage in game in any shape or form. The F4 command is there so you can concede defeat or fix stacked games, not so you can exploit it to give the marine team an advantage.

As was said monk3y, if you don't like the game don't play it. You have suggested one of the worst things a player can do outside actual cheating, so why are you suprised that you have gotten a harsh reprisal? Even if you are joking, there are plenty of CS kiddie types out there that will go straight out and try this...

As monk3y himself says, this thread ought to be locked and hopefully consigned to the depths of hell...
