<div class="IPBDescription">Must configure BIOS! HELP!!!</div> I hate to do this and ask for it so urgently, but I need to know how to access BIOS. Because ASUS(or whoever configured this bastard mobo) sucks, it doesn't let me know how to access BIOS. Once there, I don't know how 'to adjust the BIOS Settings in the computer to detect your new IDE device.'

So how do I access BIOS, and secondly, how do I get it to detect this? The sooner the answer, more cookies will be given!

Keep pressing 'del' through the initial boot. Oh, and it should be detected automagically, fiddle with the jumpers on the drive. BIOS won't help detect it, it will just let your set the order it's checked in the boot process.

I thought you were just meant to plug the thing and then you'd be away.

Or at least thats what I did when adding my DVD RW Dual Layer thingy to my Intel (OMG!) Motherboard....

Depends, usually it's simple but you know, Murphy's law, anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Sometimes it's a lot harder than it should be.

Asus is the best motherboard company... they come with HUGE manuals too. But Dell or HP or somesuch can change anything they want and quite often they will remove 90% of the bios options!
