Aliens Need Spikes Back

<div class="IPBDescription">Aliens need more ranged stuff.</div> Aliens need spikes back, as spores are only good against slow units, that are likly to stand in one place for ages. They were a decent ranged attack, which the aliens needed. The most damaging ranged attack that aliens get now is spit, from the gorge, which is slow moving and rubbish. The acid rocket isn't to bad, but its a hive 3 weapon. Any comments or flames or what?

Spores are fine, because most of the times when they are most necessary are times when the marines need to stand in an area for an extended period of time (base defense, RT building, sieges, etc).
The aliens don't need decent ranged attacks. In fact, if they had any decent ranged attacks, they would be overpowered, because with gorges/DC/meta/regen/passive regen/hive healing and MCs/blink/leap/fly/celerity to make them move faster, only JPers would be able to catch and kill alien who is shooting from very far away. The aliens can stay at their max range hurting the marines, who have to spend 2 res on each medpack and 5 res on each welder, while the aliens heal for free and have the means to get away if they get in trouble.
A lot of people also lerked just because they liked to snipe marines. While fun for your K:D, this made you somewhat of a liability... camping the "right" vents instead of pressuring rines, killing nodes, umbraing the team, etc.

That time passed, we can evolve into anything now. I liked spikes, but still, great power indeed
I would hardly say "extremely", but if implemented as they currently are via the lerkspike plugin they would need to be nerfed a little.
Just no. Stop.
Circle strafe the turrets and eat them to make a space. It's quicker and has a chance of working against marines not in a persistent vegatative state.
