Game Crashes Without Error Message

Hi!
every time i try to start NS (equal think,if i only want to start it or try to join a server direct) i see the NS background image and a few seconds later it drops me back to desktop without any error message.
(CS works without problems)
I tried to reinstall already but without any success
AMD athlon 1800
Geforce 4 TI4200(Abit)
MSI Ultra2 KT3
Anyone has a clue whats going wrong here?

Unfortunately, that is the only link I can give you, as MSI don't support the Ultra2-KT3, VIA KT333 chipset motherboard anymore. Try updating the drivers, then try again.
Remember, the Guru3D.com site houses an archive of all the released drivers from nVidia, and ATi. Make sure you download the right version for your Operating System.

Tried to update/reinstall drivers this day, the result was still the same.
Its a bit strange, that CS,Hl OPF etc is working, but NS, which uses the same engine(i think?!) crashes.
Are there any config files, where i can try to set render-mode to Software or something?
