My Mate Has Been Awarded The Military Cross!

<div class="IPBDescription">For bravery in Iraq....</div> Craziness! He was shot nearly a year ago while serving with the Logistics Corps in Basra. Out of the blue he gets a letter telling him he's been awarded the <a href='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_Cross' target='_blank'>Military Cross</a> for bravery in Iraq.

Basically his convoy was attacked and he was on the .50 cal on one of the Land Rovers protecting the trucks. He was hit in the shoulder where the bullet ricoched and ended up in his ribs. Although hurt he got up and fired back at the attackers wounding the guy who shot him. They patched him up sent him home and he ended up returning 2 months later to finish his tour.

    btw i saw a video how a cameraman was filming from back of a pickup truck and the truck drove over a mine and blew up:O.So he got it on tape how he went airborne.
