<div class="IPBDescription">Dont flame me!</div>I know i might well get flamed for this, as everyone asks it, and everyone gets told "when its done", but im not asking for a date, just a rough estimate of how complete it is. It has seemed like its nearly done for ages now, and i was just wondering if anyone could give me a rough percentage of how complete it is?

Well, if you read the faq it says.. March or April, so it's soon out, hope it comes out in March though, but then again, Don't we all?

I believe they deliveratly changed march/april because of people asking why it wasnt out yet <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

Ignore that post actually, i got that from the wrong FAQ
But from what i have gathered from observing these forums for a while is that they are deliberately not commiting to a date, so that people dont end up pressureing them too much - hence why im not asking for a date, just a rough estimate as to how complete it is

just be patient, as you can see the mod is pretty close to completion give it a month or 2.......

Phillie, I can't map at all either (see quote below), just hang around and try to learn as much as you can, so that when NS is released, you'll have a head start on everyone else. Providing you're own criticism and ideas will help shape the future of NS, so stay awhile.

Stars are just measures of post counts. When you hit 50 posts, you will attain the stardom.

Here i go again... oh, monse censored me on the post count upper posts <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> no, right now NS is mostly completed from what i think, they have the coding done 90%, now they are busy modeling the aliens (if they havent done all of them) and the weapons, and adjusting the teams a bit to equal the strenghts (builder rush), and they have to have some more finished maps, a release with 2 maps is not the goal of everything. I say it will take at least a month, if its not more. The one thing i really dont like not being in the beta 1 is the option to become a female or coloured marine, they should be selectable too, and thats no hard coding.

Honestly, it should still be a while, but I'm thinking towards teh end of april.
They've just finished the initial testing, and so give them two weeks to change all the bugs (play wise and code wise). then they've gotta test again to make sure that the changes actually fixed things instead of making them work. figure another week after that, and you're in the middle april, then another week to put together mirrors on different sites (please, God, not just hosting on FP!!!!!!!!! ), press release packets, contacts for official servers that will be up and garauntee the awaiting masses a place to play (unlike RocketCrobar <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>)and other goodies for various websites to post. that'll put you around the last week of april. BTW, that's assuming that all the maps are done (which there are only two at the finished stages if I recall correctly), all the modeling is done, and various other nitpick last details that usually are forgotten until the very end are finished.

about there only being two maps, what if they had a link where we could send our maps to them, they try them out and if they think they're good enough, they put them in the first beta as official maps

Is the suspense getting to you all that much? Just take deep breathes, and rest assured that NS will be released. That's all... not a date, a time, a month, or a year... NS WILL be released. I urge you all to stop asking this nonsense, when they are 100% sure they can release it at a certain date, they will announce it to the world. 'Til then, allow the soothing, Freaky PR Style of our dear MonsieurEvil tythe you over until the mod arrives.
