So the idea was, how could I have my e.g. Lmg to be without animations, those bursts and reloads.

It was online, and I even replied to it.

It was most likely deleted because what you want to do

    IS CHEATING.

    kthx.

you need to decompile the lmg model with mdldec or 3d program, then edit QC file from jeds half-life model viewer or that 3d program which supports half-life. change the fps on the animation list to 0, save the file and compile. okay i cant explain but somehow like that

Oh I thought it was not fair ^^

I just have about 300% better accuracy without that burst....

yeah, it's requests like this that make mp_consistency necessary. if potential exploiters weren't so prevalent, those of us that like to customize our NS wouldn't be relegated to playing on servers without forced consistency.

Not that mp_consistency deals with sprites iirc

not that sprites have anything to do with a model's firing animations...

But they do have something to do with getting the exploit to work very easily

I thought one of the recent betas introduced the muzzleflash sprites into the mp_cons ?

not really. he asked about taking out the animations, which have nothing to do with the sprite displayed...other than the fact that the event dictates which muzzleflash sprite is actually shown.

Having a gun with no animations might make it confusing to judge when the reload is finished, but whatever floats your boat. However, removing (or simply not showing) the muzzle flash is considered an exploit.

Your original post was not deleted, it was moved to the proper section.
