<div class="IPBDescription">They killed my baby!</div> Apart from being a crappy publisher... well, this is finally proof of how evil they really are. (I mean, they even bought out Sierra!)
I am a Tribes-Lover at heart. I have played the series since 1998.. and when I heard that "Tribes Vengeance" was in development in 2002/03, I jumped for joy....
Finally, a classic for the ages to rejuvinate a 1998 classic! I mean, it had upgraded graphics... and it was on the unreal engine. (Which had it's ups and downs).
The beta was released... it was kind of lackluster... but I shrugged it off. "It will be better when the full game is released!"
It wasn't.
I tried to like the game, I really did... but... it was just Unreal Tournament with Jetpacks.
And then... *Choir of nerdy angels* They announced a patch in late november... a patch of all patches... a patch to *FIX* this game! Maybe, just maybe... it would be good.
The patch was slated for early December.. that wasn't too long to wait. Well, December came and gone... so did Febuary... and so did most of March. No patch.
Then, finally on the 23rd of March, VU Games announced that it cancelled development of the patch, and had no further plans for the Tribes series.
*Sigh*
First they buy out Sierra.. now this. What next?
Way to ruin a good series, VUG.

EA is the devourer of all that is good, and they've eaten more than their fair share of "babies." It's widely known that they are the publisher that cares more about quantity and money than quality. Even more than the others, like Microsoft. At least they try, FFS.
EDIT: Tom - in my experience, Microsoft games are quality over quantity. Freelancer, the AoE series, etc.
TRU DAT.
Woah... thats deep, man.
Activision FTW (well at least their games dont feel rehashed)
.....eh, nm I dont even want to GO there. Evil thoughts, evil thouhgts.....
