Giving props to other players
I'm back playing NS after a long absence and have to give props to two people who made playing the past few nights a barrel of fun and amusement. Unfortunately I don't remember their names (alas) but I thought I'd at least post here so if they stumble across this post they'll see this.
The first was a guy who had a voice-changer on his mic so he sounded like he was gargling glass. It also sounded like he has something set up to record and repeat statements (maybe this is some new NS scripting feature I'm unaware of) so the entire evening was him running around saying "Weld please" and then "Ahhhhhhhhhhh" as he was welded. It doesn't sound so funny now but at the time it was hillarious because of the voice changer. Everything he said - from names of other players (Xenobit, Aeonite, etc.) was amusing. So if you are this guy or you know who he was, props. And if this is a common feature online now and I'm just new to it, well, props to whoever developed it.
The other guy was a Comm who knew when it was time to give up -- in amusing fashion. When, on ns_nothing, it became clear that his team of Frontiersmen was not really getting the job done, he gave up and ordered us all to repeatedly jump into the pit in Marine Spawn. Over and over. It was the first time of the night that everyone had done what he asked, and the aliens could only stand and boggle as we all suicided again and again. Also not as funny in the retelling, but at the time I was crying.
If this belongs elsewhere please move it. But I'd love to see a thread where people thank others for making their playing experience more enjoyable, whether it's through being a good teammate or just being entertaining and/or funny.

Relocates to the weirdest of places, or the most unusual of strategies... and of course, the regular fun nights. Hide 'n' seek and such

AV AVS Voice Change Software
Ah, I remember that. I blasted him from the left just as he began building the phase gate, you blasted him from the right, and killed him just before he killed me. That was awesome. Then we went on a mad Gorgy spree building stuff everywhere...
OC spam in Marine Start FTW!

Intercepts the mic input and outputs to whatever application you're using. Works on Teamspeak too.
If you're a pr0 12yr old commander, (Hah, as if,) this would be a useful tool to convince the marines you're a 30-yr old military general.
