Wolf Den - Ns Server

Comments on Usage
My NS server (WOLF Den) is a very popular place for NS addicts. Popular to the point of sheer chaos. W/O adminmod and reserved slots, anytime I desire to play on my own server, I have to boot someone in order to even join. Not only do my own clan members constantly ask me to kick someone so they can play, but I also get regular pubbers joining my IRC channel requesting that...lol. In order for my clan to be able to play, I do need to boot people occasionally...this is not an option...but, I am trying to find the best solution. Below I list my thoughts on how to handle this the best way....YOU TELL ME WHAT YOUR THOUGHTS ARE ON THIS.
1) If the server is needed for clan practice (etc), I will simply shut down the server and make it private...with warning of course.
2) In pub mode, I will not kick more than 2-3 people to allow for clan members to play (note below).
3) CRITERIA FOR KICKING: My best choice thus far is to boot those that have been there the longest. My reasoning is that since there are so many people wanting to join the server...I prefer allowing those that have NOT been playing to join. I stumbled across one problem with this though (or any method for that matter). I have no idea who is playing "commander"...and I once booted the commander w/o knowing... OOOPS!! =\
The need to boot people periodically exists...and will exist. Whether people like that or not, that is what will happen in order to allow other clan members and myself to play on the pub. However, I want to ensure that my selection of "who to boot" is considered fair.
Any suggestions?

The only thing you can do is highjack more Bandwith and run a few more servers. DONT BOOT ME!!!

Hope things pick up for you, and I have several high end boxes that could use a home with some big bandwith pipes... so if they dont mind I'd love to run a proper HL DOD and NS servers
2) Xanieth. I cannot control everyone...if you were banned simply for kicking **obscenity**..then I truly apologize as that should not happen. However, I have looked at the ban log and only see a few "certain" people who deservingly have been banned. I will speak to my admins...try again if you'd like.
3) Greypaws..email me...I might be able to hook you up (you can find my email addy on the website www.wolf-pack.net).

It keeps one spot open at all times. When an admin joins it kicks the person with the highest ping to accomodate them.
I have found its the best way to operate it, if people get kicked they understand why and its much less personal.
Secondly, if you don't care about the post's topic, why take the time to reply? Not everyone necessarily will agree with you...but I guess you got your two cents in.
